Shoutouts & Gratitude: Summer 2025
By Amanda Lang • July 20, 2025
Thank you to the dedicated volunteers who helped us run a booth at Eugene Pride this past June! The Conestoga Hut there looked great, decked out with rainbow streamers.
Big thanks to Natanya for stocking our Little Free Pantry for its first day in action in June! And thank you to Burrito Brigade for partnering with us so we can provide access to snacks at the Access Center!
A huge thank you to the Oregon Country Fair's Jill Heiman Vision Fund, for supporting our greywater filtration project, which allows our unhoused clients to reuse wastewater for gardening.
Shoutout to Buddha Eye Temple for their generous donation! Juliet Thompson of their Kanzeon Committee came on a Safe Spot tour and shared that their goal is to facilitate compassion.
Andrea hosted a house garden party fundraiser for CSS in July. A long-time volunteer, she's happy to help us do work behind the scenes to keep CSS humming. We appreciate you!
We did it! Thanks so much to those who advocated on behalf of unhoused neighbors and submitted testimonies supporting HB 3644. The bill passed, and Safe Spots are now eligible for state support!
